These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Monerica.com and its associated pages (the "Site"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

What Monerica Is

Monerica.com is an informational directory that documents businesses, services, and tools that accept Monero (XMR) and other cryptocurrencies. The project focuses on privacy-respecting commerce and censorship-resistant payments.

Monerica does not process payments, provide financial services, custody funds, or act as an intermediary. All information is collected from publicly available sources and community research. The Site is provided for informational purposes only.

No Account & No KYC

Monerica requires no registration, no account, and no identity verification (KYC) to browse or use the directory. We do not ask for, and you do not need to provide, your name, government ID, address, phone number, or any other personal information to read listings, search the directory, or navigate the Site. Consistent with Monero's privacy-first ethos, the Site is designed to be used freely and anonymously, including over the Tor network.

Where you choose to interact with a listed third party, any identity or verification requirements are set by that third party — not by Monerica. To help you assess this, many listings include a KYC policy label describing whether that service is known to require identity verification. These labels are informational and are based on community research; always confirm directly with the service.

Listings & Statuses

Listings and their statuses (such as Admitted, Verified, Questionable, or Scam) are provided to help users assess risk and reliability. These statuses are informational only and do not constitute endorsements, recommendations, or financial, legal, or investment advice. You are solely responsible for evaluating any service before using it, and you use third-party services entirely at your own risk.

Third-Party Services, Links & Affiliate Disclosure

The Site links to independent third-party websites and services that Monerica does not own or control. We are not responsible for the content, availability, practices, or conduct of any third party, and any dealings you have with them are solely between you and that third party.

Some listings and links may include affiliate or referral links, meaning Monerica may receive a commission if you visit or use certain services through those links, at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not influence listing inclusion, categorization, or status ratings.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Site, including by attempting to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to it, scraping it in a manner that degrades service, or using it for any unlawful purpose. Any information you submit to the directory must be accurate and lawful and is subject to review; Monerica may edit, decline, or remove any submission or listing at its sole discretion.

You represent that you are of legal age and are permitted under the laws of your jurisdiction to access the content you view and to use any third-party service you choose to engage through the Site. Some listed categories and third-party services are intended only for adults or may be restricted or unlawful in your location; it is your responsibility to comply with the laws that apply to you.

Sponsorships

Sponsorship is an optional paid placement. To buy sponsorship, a listing must be Verified and listed in the directory for at least 180 days — both are required. Effective August 27, 2026, Monerica does not sell sponsorship for listings in the Gambling, Medical / Pharmaceutical, and Pornography & Adult categories. Any sponsorship in these categories that was purchased before August 27, 2026 may continue for the remainder of its already-paid term; no new sponsorships, renewals, or extensions in these categories will be sold on or after that date. Renewals and extensions are available only for sponsorships in categories that are not prohibited. Monerica may designate additional prohibited categories at its sole discretion.

Sponsorship is a paid placement only and is not an endorsement. It carries no guaranteed duration or outcome: Monerica may suspend or remove a sponsored listing at any time, at its sole discretion, without notice and without a refund — including for credible reports of theft, fund loss, scam activity, sanctioned status, association with other problematic services, or otherwise elevated risk to users or to the integrity of the directory. Eligibility, pricing, availability, and category rules may change at any time.

No Warranty

The Site and all information on it are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Monerica does not warrant that the information is accurate, complete, current, or that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free. Listing information may become outdated or incorrect at any time.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Monerica and its contributors shall not be liable for any loss or damage — including lost funds, lost profits, or any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — arising from your use of the Site or your dealings with any listed third party.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law. Where liability cannot be fully excluded, it is limited to the maximum extent permitted.

Privacy

Because the Site requires no account and no KYC, we do not collect personal information from you in order to provide the directory. Aggregate, non-identifying analytics may be used to understand overall traffic and improve the Site. We do not sell personal data.

There are two cases where you may choose to provide personal information: if you subscribe to our newsletter, or if you provide your email address during sponsorship checkout. In those cases we store the email address you give us so we can send the newsletter or contact you about your sponsorship. You can request deletion of this information at any time through our contact page, and we will remove it.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and your continued use of the Site constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
