    Fair exchange rate. Was a little slow took probably 20-30 min but went through. Did a test swap of $400usdc got $396 worth of XMR.
    Service works and as others have pointed out it's definitely not trustless and totally decentralized. But neither are things like fixed float and other swap services.

    The whole paying people to shill for him is a little disappointing to see especially when it's not disclosed. And it's a little telling of the community members who don't practice what they preach.

    As a service it works with good rates and carries risks like others do so be aware it's not a trustless protocol.
    4/5 for the service itself (good rates but was kinda slow and has risks)
    1/5 for not being upfront about payed shilling and claims of being trustless when some parts are not.

    • This order has been fixed with the user. The reason the issue wasn't handled faster is that he was an unverified X account reaching out via X dms which puts him in the spam folder. My official and quickest point of contact is the one listed on the Wagyu site.

      I also want to clarify that usually orders do not have as many problems as it may seem from this review page, but it is simply because people with problems are more likely to put out reviews. Thousands of transactions and $100M in volume has been processed without fail

    • Problem solved. It didn't detect the WBTC payment of one version, because by default it was shown that it was not known what version it was: normally wrapped or wrapped by wormhole. I contacted X, not via Telegram, because I saw that such an option is on the Monerica website – yes, here it is only my fault, because on the Wagyu website it is written that only Telegram. If I had used the Telegram option, I probably wouldn't have had to write negatively to get a response. Mr wagyu was quick to help me with the transaction and everything is fine. If I could, I would change the rating to 5/5.

    Test it yourself with amounts you can afford to lose before you believe the FUD.

    Cow promised to refund deposits that are flagged by chainalysis rather than freezing them. That removes the biggest source of anxiety/pain with these instant swap services. It's a tradeoff:

    Fixedfloat, Coincraddle, ChangeNow, Exolix, etc:
    High risk that your deposit gets frozen for KYC/AML. Lower risk they get shutdown like eXch or TradeOgre.

    I’ve been reading the recent negative feedback here regarding KYC risks or frozen funds and i think we need to have an honest conversation about what tools like Wagyu actually represent for the Monero ecosystem.

    First the user experience: I tested the flow personally before writing this and my swap was executed instantly, the liquidity from Hyperliquid is real, and the UI is miles ahead of the clunky interfaces we usually deal with.

    About the philosophy: I see people comparing this to noncustodial purity but let's be real: Wagyu is NOT Haveno Reto, or Bisq. If your threat model requires absolute unstoppable and MAX privacy where no entity can ever touch your funds, then you should be using those dexs and that is what they are for.

    However, aiming for "hyper bitcoinization" or mass adoption of XMR requires accessible onramps. We cannot expect every newcomer to compile their own node or navigate complex P2P dispute systems for a simple $50 swap and tbh accessibility is not a crime.

    Wagyu fills a critical gap cause it demystifies access to Monero for the average trader. YES ofc it operates via a bridge to a public ledger (Hyperliquid here) which introduces a different trust assumption than a native atomic swap BUT complaining that a bridge has bridgelike risks (centralization for example) is like complaining that a hammer isn't a screwdriver

    For 99% of users who just want to move in and out of XMR efficiently with low fees -> this tool is a net positive. It brings volume, it brings fresh liquidity, and it makes Monero usable for people who aren't CLI wizards. I’m rating this 5/5 not cause it’s "perfect" privacy, but it’s the most effective tool in its specific category right now.

    Attempted to swap BTC to XMR, after an hour the transaction failed with "All bridge routes rejected your transaction. Please try again later or with a different amount." and saying "Refund Complete". The amount refunded was only a small amount of a few cents. Terrible and misleading service.
